Every journey has a starting point...

To begin on our journey we must look at God's map, the Bible, and follow it.

"For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Hebrews 4:12

Jesus said, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away." Matthew 24:35

"All flesh is grass, and all its loveliness is like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever." Isaiah 40:6b,8

All of us have wandered around lost, but there is only one way to a new life.

Jesus said, "Unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6

"Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12

"He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy." Proverbs 28:13

"Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord..." Acts 3:19

Jesus has already blazed the trail for our journey. Any other road is a certain dead end.

"For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all..." I Timothy 2:5,6a

"...who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness--by whose stripes you were healed." I Peter 2:24

Jesus said, "I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved..." John 10:9a

"God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. " Romans 5:8

You can not make the journey to heaven on your own. You must trust Jesus to take you there.

"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household." Acts 16:31

"...if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9,10

"I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live." Deuteronomy 30:19

With Christ as your companion, there is no danger of getting lost. He will always stay close.

"...being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6

"And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God." I John 5:11-13

Now you are on the right road, but it is important to live the way God wants you to. Trust in God to help you over the bumps and through the pot holes.

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." II Corinthians 5:17

"Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's." I Corinthians 6:19,20

"And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit." Galatians 5:24,25
